Nutmeg (Jaifal) 100g – Muskatnuss

Jaifal, the warm spice grated at the very end. TRS Nutmeg (Jaifal). 100g.

In the Kitchen: Grate a small amount into garam masala blends, kheer, halwa and milk-based sweets, or into creamy sauces and mashed potato. A little goes a long way. Use a fine grater or microplane, and add it in the final minute so the aroma stays bright. It is also common in garam masala and Mughlai-style gravies.

In German: Muskatnuss (Hindi: Jaifal).

Good to Know: Grating fresh as needed keeps the aroma stronger than pre-ground.
